Imbolc-the Festival of Bride
The return of Brigit

Brigit is one of the Patron Saint’s of Ireland.
In my trip to England and Glastonbury in 2008 I had a very powerful healing experience in reference and deference to her.
In Ireland from January 31 and through out the following week there is much celebration, prayer and ritual to commemorate her spiritual legacy.

At Imbolc the flame of Spirit and the fire of inspiration come to the daylight of transformation.
In this sacred time of introspection may the light of clarity, knowledge and peace, touch and heal your soul.

Brigit’s Prayer

"You think you are brittle but you are not.
Let the reed of your soul be strengthened by my words.
Because of the purity of your devotion
You think you are tossed and turned about, but
That is your illusion.
I am your firm anchor.
I am the roses in your garden of Spirit.
Again, I say relax, just be my flower.
I am the wind, I am the rain and I am your destiny.
When you hear the rain and the birdsong,
I am that song of your soul.
Trust your silence, that time is pregnant with possibilities.
All changes and all remain the same.
That is the beauty and the balance of the polarities.
Making time for me in the garden of your soul is when your
Soul questions are answered.
You thirst for knowledge, but are afraid to take the water
that I give you so eagerly.
Let your thirst drive you to the well of your soul.
Your thirst will be quenched and as you pass the cup
To others the joy of sharing will fill your cup and also
Other’s who need my nourishment as well.
I am the eternal spring of your hope and wisdom."

The Waterbearer

The Ancient Celts believed that water was magic and was Sacred.
At the various times of the year, they would gather, give thanks, pray and
Ask for guidance and help from their beloved Dieties.

In those times, it was believed that at Sacred Springs and Wells, Guardians, both
Elemental and human lived and loved together, and protected these places where
Humans and animals could gather there for whatever need they had.
Whether it be to spend time for reflection, to pray, or for a nurturing drink.
People stayed as long as their hearts and souls needed to turn in ward, collect
And find themselves again, return to their peace, for a while and then go back to their
Daily lives and tasks..

It was there where anything could happen because worlds interlinked in powerful healing Ways.

There are many sacred traditions that have gotten lost in today’s hustle and bustle.
And the all the running, using up sacred resources with no thought of tomorrow, and
Lack of any thought, reverence and concern have finally caught up with us, Look at
How human greed, lack of thought and concern have finally come to our attention
With the Gulf Oil catastrophe. How many more of God’s creature’s, this planet and
ourselves must we hurt and sacrifice for our greed and corruption?
I believe that we are all Waterbearers. We are all as unique as snowflakes and we
All have sacred magic and water that we are meant to share with each other. whether
It be a few drops, be it with a smile or a random act of kindness or be it as a spring
To be able to give that compassion to another pilgrim that needs it on the road of life.

I know many of us are being called as the Waterbearer’s of old to share our unique
Medicines and gifts, to make a difference in the world and to be the ancestors that
We have been waiting for .

What does your soul long to do? What make’s your soul sing to be of service? THAT
And precisely that is what you are here for? It is not necessary that you have ALL the
Answers, because in my experience, The Divine gives you one aim at a time, because
If you are given the whole message it is too overwhelming and would never be done, but
Just put your feet on the road and take that one step, and the Divine will open up all the
Doors that need to happen to have that Divine alchemy begin.
